Trumbull Pop Warner Covid-19 Protocol
A participant must Quarantine if they have been in close contact of
someone contagious with Covid-19 (see below), unless they have been fully
vaccinated. People who are fully vaccinated do NOT need to quarantine after
contact with someone who has COVID-19, unless they have symptoms or are
living with a person in their household who has tested positive for Covid-19.
#Per TPS: An individual diagnosed with COVID-19 is
considered contagious starting from 48 hours prior to the onset of
symptoms or 48 hours prior to the test date for individuals without symptoms. Close
contact is defined as being within 6ft for 15 min of time within a 24-hour
period.
They can exit quarantine after day 10 without testing,
or exit after day 7 after receiving a negative test result (test
must occur on day 5 or later) as long as they have remained symptom free. Those
with any symptoms must quarantine for the full 14 days from
the date of close contact. If they have symptoms, they must immediately
self-isolate and contact their local public health authority or healthcare
provider for guidance.
If a participant tests positive for Covid-19, they
must quarantine for 10
days from the start of their symptoms. If they had no symptoms,
they must quarantine for 10
days from the date of their positive test. If they develop symptoms after testing positive, the quarantine
period will start from the date the symptoms first appeared.
They must get medical clearance from their health care
provider that they are ok to return to youth sports before returning to
Trumbull Pop Warner.
Covid-19
Test report must clearly show (RAPID TESTS NOT ACCEPTED):
○ Date of collection & Name of Laboratory/Testing Center where test
performed
○ Full name and date of birth of person tested
○ Type of test (must be a Molecular PCR test)
○ Negative test result must be clearly stated (inconclusive tests will not be
interpreted as negative)
If a member of a participant's household tests positive for
Covid-19, the participant must avoid all TPW activities. Upon
returning they must get medical clearance from their
health care provider that they are cleared to return to youth sports.
CDC guidelines for Covid in the household:
*If someone in your household is sick with
COVID-19 and can isolate by staying in a separate bedroom, you and others in
your household who were in close contact with that sick person should
quarantine (separate yourselves away from the sick person) and stay home after
your household member with COVID-19 started isolating.
*Any time a new household member gets sick with
COVID-19 and you had close contact, you will need to restart your quarantine.
*If you have a family member who is sick with
COVID-19 and can’t separate yourself from the person who is sick, you should
quarantine while the person has COVID-19 and after (see quarantine guidelines
above) your household member with COVID-19 can end isolation.
*If a
participant has an outstanding Covid-19 test, is planning on taking a test, or
has any family member in either of those situations, they should refrain from
all TPW activities until all results are negative.
